Vanilla Cookies

Vanilla cookies are a delightful and classic treat that captivates taste buds with their simple yet comforting flavor. These cookies typically boast a rich buttery base combined with the sweet and aromatic essence of vanilla. The dough is often made with ingredients like flour, sugar, butter, and, of course, vanilla extract.
Ingredients
1 cup self raising flour
1/2 cup unsalted butter (room temp)
1/2 cup icing sugar

3 Tbsp cornflour

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/4 tsp salt

1 or 2 Tbsp milk (if needed)
* If you are not using self raising flour , add 1 tsp baking powder.
Instructions
1. In a large bowl add butter , vanilla and icing sugar then mix until light and pale .
2. Add flour , cornflour and salt . Mix until the dough is formed.
If for whatever reason the dough is crumbly add a little bit of milk .
If the dough is too sticky to handle add a little bit of flour .
3. Use a tablespoon or an ice cream scoop to scoop out the dough . Roll each dough piece into a ball .
4. Place the dough pieces in a lined baking tray. Use a fork to make patterns on each dough piece .
5. Bake in a preheated oven at 170 Degrees for for 15-18 minutes or until slightly golden brown .
Let the cookies cool off completely before consuming them.
